Bridging communities and building trust, one panchayat at a time!
The Police Public Panchayat initiative by the Bikaner Range Police aims to reduce the distance between the police and the general public, establish cordial relations with them, and address their problems by reaching out to them. We believe in transparency, accountability, and community participation. Our goal is to ensure that everyone receives justice and feels safe in their community. This initiative aims to raise awareness among the general public about crimes against women and the spread of drug abuse among youth. Additionally, by conducting social audits of police operations, we aim to make changes in the best interest of the state according to the place, time, and circumstances. By conducting social audits of police operations, we aim to highlight positive practices and develop an effective accountability system. This will ensure that senior management handles complaints honestly, impartially, and promptly, thereby building public trust in the police.
Bikaner Range IG Mr. Omprakash received the SKOCH Award 2024 for the Police-Public Panchayat (PPP) initiative, which aims to bridge the gap between police and the public and enhance community participation.
